Jordan Women’s National Team grabbed a 2-1 victory in the kickoff of the USA Training Camp matches, which is being held in Orlando, Florida, in preparation for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup and World Cup Qualifiers.

Sarah Abu Sabbah opened the score for the Jordanian ladies in the first half, while Abeer Al Nahar doubled the lead in the 72nd minute. Florida Panthers managed to grab one goal back in the 78th minute, but the Jordanians held on to their lead till the final whistle. Final score: Jordan 2, Florida Tech Panthers 1.

Head Coach Micheal Dickey expressed his satisfaction with the team display by saying:

“The team played well and we were able to see all 24 players represent Jordan tonight. They were able to execute one of our primary objectives tonight multiple times which was very rewarding.”

“Our opponent was very good and were exactly the type of a team that we need to face in order for us to keep improving. Special thanks to Florida Institute of technology for hosting us in Melbourne, Florida.”

“The team has been very professional on the trip and they all have improved in fitness since the last time they were tested in Amman. Now we’re looking forward to our next game against Southeastern University on the 21st.”
