Jordan finished eighth at the Alanya Women’s Turkish Cup 2018, following a 2-1 loss to Romania in the closing match of the tournament.

The trip comes in conclusion of the team’s final preparations for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers, which Jordan hosts next April.

Romania managed to score two goals in the opening 15 minutes of the game, while top scorer Maysa Jbarah scored for Jordan in the second half.

The tournament saw the Nashmiyat play four matches, losing 2-0 to Poland, 5-1 to Mexico, beating Latvia 2-1, and suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat to Romania in the final game.
