Al Jazeera continues to lead the Al Manaseer Jordanian Pro League 2016/17 after the end of match day 15 despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Al Sareeh, as second placed Al Wehdat and third placed Al Faisaly failed to capitalize and steal the number one spot.

Week 15 action kicked off on Thursday, March 2, as Al Ahli managed to record a convincing 3-1 win against third placed Al Faisaly in the match that was held at the Amman International Stadium. Mahmoud Al Mardi opened the scoring for Al Ahli in the 24th minute, and El Hadj Malik doubled the lead in the 58th minute. However, Al Faisaly pulled one goal back in the 61st minute through Akram Alzoway before Mohammed Alawneh sealed the win for Al Ahli in the 90+3 minute from the penalty spot.

Al Faisaly’s loss remained third with 29 points, and Al Ahli went up to seventh with 19 points.

In other match on Thursday, Al Sareeh held leader Al Jazeera to a 1-1 draw in the match that was held at the Hassan International Stadium in Irbid. Ayman Abu Fares scored for Al Sarah in the 23rd minute, while Mohammed Tannous equalized for Al Jazeera in the 59th minute.

Al Jazeera remained at the top spot with 31 points following Al Wehdat’s goalless draw with Al Ramtha on Friday, in the match that took place at the King Abdullah II Stadium.

Al Wehdat remained second with 30 points, while Al Ramtha went up to sixth with 20.

On Friday, and at the Hassan International Stadium, Al Hussein and Sahab settled for a 1-1 draw. Sahab opened the scoring through Mohammed Muafi in the 26th minute, while Adel Alshaqran equalized for Al Hussein in the 36th minute.

Al Buqaa recorded an important 2-1 win against That Ras in the match that took place at the Amman International Stadium. Al Buqaa opened the scoring through Ammar Abu Awwad in the 10th minute, while Mohammed Addous doubled the lead in the 24th minute. That Ras managed to pull one goal back through Samer Alsalem from a penalty kick in the 36th minute but Al Buqaa managed to hold on to their lead till the final whistle. Al Buqaa reached their 9th point but remained at the bottom of the table, while That Ras remained at 11th with 10 points.

Week 15 action was concluded on Saturday, March 4, as Shabab Al Ordon and Mansheyet Bani Hassan’s encounter ended with a 0-0 draw in the match that was held at the Amman International Stadium.

Shabab Al Ordon reached their 18th point in 8th place, while Al Mansheyeh remained 4th with 27 points.
