Jordan Women’s National Team head coach Micheal Dickey has announced a 22-player squad for Jordan’s upcoming friendly international against Asian Champions and World Cup runner-ups Japan.

The match will take place on Friday, November 24, at the King Abdullah II Stadium, as Jordan prepares to host the AFC Women’s Asian Cup in April next year, to compete with Asia’s best teams for a place at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Head coach Micheal Dickey is looking forward for the match which he referred to as a “great test” ahead of the Asian Cup, he said: “The match against Japan will show us where we at technically, tactically, and physically.”

Dickey added: “Japan is one of the greatest countries in the world, and they will be good in every area, therefore it will guarantee that every player on the field from our squad will be tested.”

“Our aim is to keep on facing high quality opponents, and Japan’s encounter will be a huge challenge for us! Facing a team with their experience at an international level, and their players who play at the top leagues in the world, is no doubt our biggest test before the Asian Cup. We’re extremely excited to host them here in Amman.” He concluded.
