Under the Patronage of Jordan Football Association President HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Jordan Women’s National Team hosts Olympique de Marseille in a friendly match that will be held on Wednesday, October 18, in Aqaba.


The match will take place as part of the festivities of the Marseille week, which will also witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Jordan Football Association and Olympique de Marseille, as well as celebrate the opening of the new Aqaba Football Field.


The Memorandum of Understanding aims to help and further develop the Women’s Football scene in Jordan, wether in terms of coaching, refereeing, or in holding National Team training camps.


The team arrives to Aqaba 2 days prior to match day, which is scheduled to kickoff on Wednesday, October 18,7:00 pm, at the Aqaba football field.


The National Team resumed trainings in Amman since returning from Riga, Latvia, where they managed to record their first ever victory against a European team. The Team holds five weekly trainings sessions, divided into morning fitness drills, and technical/tactical evening sessions on the field.


Noor Zoqash returns to the squad after recovering from an ankle injury that left her sidelined for over 3 months, while Abeer Al Nahar rejoins the group after successfully undergoing an abdominal muscle surgery.


On the other hand, youngster Jana Abu Ghosh will be sidelined for at least 6 months, after successfully undergoing a surgery to repair her left anterior cruciate ligament.
