An interesting encounter between Jordan Women’s National Team and Orlando Pride Development Academy saw the hosts win 4-3, in the match that was held on Thursday, August 25, at the Seminole Soccer Complex, in the windup of the USA training camp which took place in Orlando from August 15-25 in preparation for the upcoming 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers.


The National Team delivered a great performance in the first 60 minutes of the game, as captain Stephanie Al Naber opened the scoring from a long-range strike in the 29th minute. However, one minute later the hosts managed to equalize despite Jordan’s dominance. The Jordanian ladies regained the lead once again in the 40th minute, through Maysa Jbarah following an organized attack which resulted from a great build up and team work.


Early in the second half, Jordan scored the third goal in the 49th minute with Abeer Al Nahar on target. Yet, Orlando Pride DA managed to pull one goal back following a counter-attack in the 57th minute. The hosts were able to equalize in the 81st minute, before they took the lead following a controversial penalty kick that was rewarded to them in the 85th minute.

The National Team returns to Jordan on Saturday, August 26, following a training camp that saw them play 3 matches, in which they defeated Florida Panthers 2-1, Southeastern Fire 4-2, while lost to Orlando Pride Da 4-3 in the final game.
