Jordan clinched the third place at 2018 WAFF U16 Championship, which was hosted in Amman from 1-9 August with the participation of Japan, India, Yemen, Iraq and hosts Jordan.   The Jordanian Team finished third with 6 points after beating Iraq 7-1, Yemen 2-1, a 3-2 defeat to Japan, and a 4-0 loss to India.   Japan were crowned Champions, while India finished as runner-ups. Jordanian striker Rezeq Bani Hani was named the as the championship top scorer with 6 goals.
